WILL MY INSURANCE COVER MY PHYSIO VISIT?

I am a registered physiotherapist, which means the expense might be partially covered by your health insurance. Every insurance plan is different so you will need to follow up with your provider regarding available coverage.  At the time of the visit, you will be responsible for covering all the costs and submitting the receipt to your provider if applicable.

For MSP beneficiaries receiving premium assistance, MSP will contribute 23$ per visit for a combined annual limit of 10 visits each year towards physiotherapy, chiropractic, massage therapy, naturopathy,  acupuncture, and surgical podiatry. You will be responsible for submitting the incurred expense to the MSP for reimbursement.

HOW CAN I PAY FOR THE VISIT?

Payments are accepted with Square, cash, cheque or e-transfer. Any Canadian issued and most non-Canadian issued credit cards with Visa, MasterCard, American Express, JCB or Discover logo can be used.  Interact Debit cards with INTERACT Flash (tap)  are also accepted (amounts can be split into two or three sub-transactions).

The Tele-Heath visits are invoiced via Square for online payments.

DO I NEED A PHYSICIAN'S REFERRAL TO SEE A PELVIC FLOOR PHYSIO?

While in British Columbia it is not necessary to have a referral to seek a physiotherapy treatment;  some insurance companies require such referral for coverage purposes.  You might contact your provider to confirm their requirements.

CAN I GET A SAME-DAY APPOINTMENT?

As I am splitting my clinical time between Sunshine Coast and Vancouver, a confirmation of the visit must be done at least a day prior to the planned appointment.  It might be possible to book the same day visit for an urgent concern, booking must be done by phone to confirm the availability.

WHAT IS YOUR CANCELLATION POLICY?

In case you need to cancel the visit, I require 48 hours notice so that someone on the waiting list can take the appointment. In case of not showing for the visit (either in person clinic visit, home visit or for the Telehealth visit) or failing to notify regarding the cancellation, you will be responsible for the cost of the missed visit.
